Failure is something we all encounter in our lives, perhaps more times than we can count. Whether that’s a breakup or not getting in our dream school. Failure doesn’t have to be on someone else’s terms. It can be on your own terms.
No one likes to fail. It’s not a good feeling to not be liked or not be good enough. It’s even worse when you feel like you’re the only one failing.
As hard as it is to see and understand…failing is actually a key component to success.
You need to meet lots of people to find your significant other. You need to apply for a lot of jobs to get accepted. You need to fall off the bike a couple times to learn how to bike.
So next time you fail. It’s ok! You’re on the right track, AS LONG AS YOU DON’T GIVE UP. Granted some things are not meant to be and you have to learn to give it up. But if you really want to ride the bike and you like riding it, you have to be uncomfortable and fall down big time. Once you give up, you probably won’t be able to ride that bike.
People are afraid of making mistakes..or failing themselves or someone else. So they take calculated risks…or they avoid all risks. Avoiding risks doesn’t mean they no longer make mistakes but rather bigger mistakes. Mistakes that would cost them life experiences.
Take the first scary step. Get out of your comfort zone. Fail a bunch of times because that’s where you learn about yourself and about others. No one is perfect, everyone fails.
But those who avoid failures are likely to be the ones who feel like one.
I hope this short and sweet article helps you on your 2020 adventure 🙂
